From the 29th of August 2020, visitors to Lucky Plaza and Peninsula Plaza will be allowed entry based on the last digits of their NRIC or Foreign Idenfication Number (FIN).
This latest move is part of a crowd control measure on weekends.
What You Need to Do/Take Note of:
To ensure that you do not make a wasted trip and denied entry, do take note of the following:
-Check the LAST DIGIT on your NRIC/FIN: Determine if it is EVEN (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) or ODD (1, 3, 5, 7, 9)
-If the LAST DIGIT on your NRIC/FIN is EVEN, you will be allowed entry on even dates during the weekend (30th, 6th and 20th etc.)
–If the LAST DIGIT on your NRIC/FIN is ODD, you will be allowed entry on odd dates during the weekend (29th, 13th and 27th etc.)
This applies for visits to these two shopping malls during weekends (i.e. Saturdays and Sundays) only.
If your FDW’s rest day is on a weekday, then it should not have any impact.
In case you are wondering why only Lucky Plaza and Peninsula Plaza, it is likely that these two malls are most frequented by Foreign Domestic Workers (FDWs) and have been quite crowded in recent weeks. As such, it is necessary to implement such crowd control measures to control the spread of the COVID-19 infection cases.
